More Shelves Added to the Library

By overwhelming popularity, the St. Andrew’s Library has already outgrown it’s room for additional books. In steps to alleviate the problem, the Knights of Spellman Council once again came to the rescue to provide an additional two book shelves in memory of Brother Al Klessick. On a quiet Saturday morning in March, several Brother Knights got together in the Barn of Brother John Bear to assemble the shelves. Within a very short time, the shelves were loaded on two pickup trucks and delivered to the church and set in place. If you would like to make a donation of Christian books or tapes to the new library, please contact Brother Ralph Gimbut at 267-0492 or you may drop them off at the parish rectory with the Parish Secretary, Mrs. Barbara Palmer.

New St Andrew Library is here

With the construction of the new book shelves now complete in the RCIA room, we are putting out the word that we need to fill the shelves with spiritual books and tapes that you may want to donate to the church. Fr. Michael and Deacon Buzz will be supplying the majority of the books that will be placed on the shelves and with the aid of brother knights, we are certain this new library will be packed in time for the beginning of the new year. A special thanks goes out to Brothers John Bear and Dan Leone for picking out the shelves and assembling them on a very hot summer night. All in all, the new library should be able to hold at least 400 books and there is still room to add another bookcase for future expansion. A special thanks also goes out to Mrs. Louanne Klesseck for the very generous donation to the Library Fund in memory of her beloved husband, Brother Al Klesseck, who recently passed away after a long illness.
